If you have read much from Benosh, you know we love Keen. That love only grew this spring when we got the cutest Keens ever to check out—Whisper sandals for my little almost-four-year-old daughter.
Happy in the water, on the trail, or at play anywhere, the Whispers offer a great, secure fit thanks to Keen’s lace capture system and a quick and easy Velcro strap. They dry quickly, offer secure footing, and do everything the bigger versions do, just for little feet.
Some shoes seem to hamper my daughter’s movements—make them clumsy and stumbling. The Keens seem to be such a natural fit that they move with her and offer great grip and stability—I was very impressed. My daughter loves to wear them, and they have held up over a warm spring and early summer without a hint of wear or discomfort.
Keen’s Whisper sandals run a not-inconsiderable $45. That’s quite a bit of money for a kid’s shoe, but it isn’t any more than we paid for nice ones that fit and didn’t rub at a name brand kid’s shoe store in the mall. For the quality, fit, and versatility, I’d rather buy our girl the children’s Keens and let her look adorable on the trail or anywhere else. Recess is back!
