A must-have for your back country adventures, this soft shell jacket has sonically welded seams and is totally waterproof. The “always-on” DryQ Elite technology starts working immediately to keep you dry on the inside as well as outside.
The Kepler offers an alpine fit that has total waterproof protection. The chest-high pockets accommodate a harness or pack. The helmet-compatible hood with single-pull adjustment system and extra beefy brim make for multi-adventure use. The watertight zips seal out moisture while the soft, “Butter Jersey” cuffs tighten nicely on the sleeves to seal out the elements as well. There is an interior zip pocket for keys, ID, or other small items. The various drawcords at hem seal in warmth. The Micro-Chamois™-lined chin guard eliminates zipper chafe, which is a real help for long tail hiking, etc.
The Mountain Hardwear Kepler is a completely waterproof yet highly breathable softshell that uses the company’s innovative DryQ Elite material. The Kepler has almost everything you could look for…but comes up short in its cut and fit. I did find the jacket to have a more restricting fit than I’d like. The jacket is designed to be the only shell necessary for alpine climbing.
The Mountain Hardwear Kepler can be purchased for a price range of $227.95 – $340. I would suggest this as a must have for your cold hiking or mountain climbing adventures.
