Our good friends at Columbia recently sent a wonderful care package of spring-ready gear, including the much ventilated Airgill Woven Long sleeve Shirt. The polyester shirt packs the tech in, and here are the best features:
- Fabric: 100% polyester ripstop
- Omni-Shield® Blood n’ Guts advanced repellency
- Omni-Freeze® advanced cooling
- Omni-Shade® UPF 50 sun protection
- Quick dry
- Vented
Columbia’s site says slits in the shirt function like a set of gills. The side-venting panels “channel cooling airflow across your body creating a constant, refreshing natural air-conditioning system.” Air conditioning in your shirt. Nice.
Omni-Freeze dissipates body heat faster than traditional fabrics. Blood N Guts resists stains from a day of fishing, and you can figure out Omni-Shade® UPF 50 sun protection yourself.
The amazing air conditioned Airgill retails for $80.00 on Columbia’s website, which might be a lot. However, if it’s as cool to wear as Columbia claims and just as stain resistant, I can see it being a keen choice to wear while fishing or hiking. Look for a full review soon!
