Last summer we had the chance to check out ExOfficio’s Sol Cool Long Sleeve Tee, which we tested during even triple digit heat days. While it provided increased sun protection and did help sweat evaporate, wearing long sleeves when it’s that hot can also be difficult or impractical.

ExOfficio was kind enough this year to send one of their other offerings, the Sol Cool short sleeve, for us to check out this summer. Check out our review above for the scoop on the long sleeve—the short sleeve has all the great teach, including Icefil® technology. This amazing tech helps cool your skin off when in contact with moisture, which the shirt also helps wick away.

While the long sleeve might be better for exposure—say if you’re stranded in the desert or know you’re going to be on a boat in the sun for hours—for intense activities, I personally recommend the short sleeve. The fit is athletic and trim, and the shirt never looks technical over stylish, as some of them can. I flat out love this fabric—soft, stretches easily, and looks great.

You can nab a long or short sleeve Sol Cool on ExOfficio’s site. The short sleeves run $50 and the long sleeves a $5 premium, which is a lot to pay for a tee, but right now sales at ExOfficio offer great savings. Hop on their site and check out their durable outdoor offerings and be so darn cool this summer.
