Well, the shoes keep rolling in and we’re definitely getting some cool stuff. This last week yielded a new offering from our good friends at ECCO. The have sent us some of their Biom collection. I took a shining to their new Biom 1.1 Grip. It’s a solid, yet comfortable street/semi-dress shoe that can be worn on the trail, to the club, or even casual Friday at the office.

The Biom Grip (as the name suggests, this is ECCO’s Biom technology for natural motion walking) is great for everyday town walking or light off-road use. Function follows form with this one. The lace-up style designed with a neutral foot position to provide natural motion. Camel leather and oiled suede uppers are naturally strong, yet soft–breathable and moisture-absorbent.

The Biom Grip is anatomically shaped last, for a natural and comfortable fit. It’s got flexible and low-to-the-ground midsole construction for a natural walking motion. It has a polyurethane (PU) midsole for long-lasting cushioning and anatomical, full-length foot support, while I found the rugged outsole provides excellent grip and traction for off-road conditions.

You can check them out at ECCO’s website. Amazon, and other retailers have them for a $149.95 price range. I would suggest getting a look-see in person at a Nordstroms or another retailer, as sizing is a bit off the norm, being a European import. I admit an affinity for these, and I think you’d like them as well.
